It is mandatory for an Exporter to become an FIEO member and get themselves registered to get a Registration-cum-Membership Certificate (RCMC) for availing various benefits under the Foreign Trade Policy

APEDA (Agricultural and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority) registration is required for individuals or companies looking to export agricultural and processed food products from India. APEDA registration helps ensure compliance with export regulations and standards for specific food categories.

Here’s an outline of the process for APEDA Export Registration:

1. Eligibility: To apply for APEDA registration, the exporter must be involved in the production, processing, or export of agricultural and processed food products like fruits, vegetables, meat, dairy, cereals, confectionery, and other related items.

2. Documents Needed:

   • A valid PAN (Permanent Account Number)
   • GST Registration (if applicable)
   • A copy of the IEC (Import Export Code) from DGFT
   • Bank details (for payment of fees)
   • Factory registration or license, if applicable
   • A list of products intended for export

3. Registration Process:

   • Visit the APEDA official website.
   • Create a user account on the APEDA portal.
   • Fill in the application form with necessary details.
   • Upload the required documents.
   • Pay the applicable registration fees.
   • Submit the form for review.

4. APEDA Certificate: After successful registration, APEDA issues a certificate of registration to the exporter, allowing them to export eligible products.

5. Renewal: The registration is typically valid for 5 years and must be renewed after its expiry.

It is mandatory to register with the Chemexcil for export of chemicals products only if the member would like to avail government incentives and assistance provided under Foreign Trade Policy drafted by DFGT.
